My life have been somewhat different then most other people in that I have hed exsperience in so many kines of work and occupation.  I begun schooling when I was 6 years old in Vats Stavanger Norway, to finish my elementary school I hed to take 6 month grauating cour from our Priest which was the covernment regulation.  I started my trade of painting when I was 14 years old, and was out on my own when I was 15.  In the vinters when there was little painting to do I was hired out with a fishing exspedation for herring fishing on the North Sea.  I was with these companys for 4 vinters from the age of 16 to 20.  When I was 6 months old I had a bed case of Brunkatus on my chest and my recovery was hopeless.  My parents had bought a berial clouth and was redy for the wirst, but here I am at 68 and are going strong.  I have followed my occupation now for 54 years.  I Emigrated to America in Mar 1910, first to Iowa then to Salt Lake City UT, then moved to Monroe wher I joind the Church, then moved to Central UT wher I marid a Central girl, and from there I was sent on a mission to Norway in Dec 1913, in Oct 1914 shortly after the first war had started I was transverd to Central States mission U.S.A. there I finished my mission under President Samuel S. Bennion.  I stayed part of the time in the mission home paining the mission home and part of the new church.  I slept in the same room and ate with the same table with President Bennion, Bishop Werthlin Presiding Bishop of the Church there a missionary to Central States, I attended the funeral at Independense of the President of the Reorganite Church son of the Prophet Joseph, and by the way he was marred to my 3rd cussin.  I was the second person to go on a 6 month mission from Siveir Stake, I left in Dec 1925 and labor in Ceatle Wash, we hed then 6 children and our baby was serious ill when I left, but in the good care of my good wife and the Higher power it recoverd.  In 1927 I was chosen counselor to Bishop Frank Ogden and sirved for 2 years.  In the Stake High Priest presidensy for 8 years, Stake missionary for 3-1/2  chirmen of Geneological grup for 2 turns about 8 years, High Priest grup cherman for 3 years and many others.  In the last 20 years I have helped my brother Torleif L. Knaphus a great deal with the task of gathering our ansistors, we have at the present about 7000 names and nerly all have been done for in the temple.  We have now in the proses of printing a pedegree chart with nearly 800 grandperets.  In my church work I have seen menny faith promothing insidence happened such as heling of the sick and other direct testimonys from on High.  As far as my special talent is consirn, I don't know if I have any, but my adtime interest is mostly, fishing, trapping wild animals, such as Beavers, caotys, Bobcats, foxes, and muskrats, also Art painting.  In my travel I have been in Finland, Sweeden, Germany, Denmark, England, Scothland, Irland, Canada, on the west and also on the east, and Mexico.  Places of interest I have been in the White house, Wash D.C. listen to a cort case on the suprim cort, seen where and how thy print the currency and _________ been to the top of Washingtons monument, have been to the Liberty jale, Independence jale, where the Prophet was

imprisoned and I have some relicks from these plases.  In laboring in Kansas City and Independence I mett many Reorganites and I was cald out to debate with some of the leders of this church.  Today is Tanksgiving day 1956.

I will now indevor to write in breef the names and occupation e.c.t., of my children, as I have alredy presented some of my ansistor in the Speech dilverd by my Bro. Torleif L. Knaphus, and I may ad to this first the one line from my Father back to my 8th gg father Knut lived only 2-miles from my home where I was born and reerd, beginning with my father Lars Larsen Knaphus Born 20-Nov, 1843, Lars Larsen Slaattenan Born 18 Sept 1806, Lars Johnsen Nashaim 1748, John Lyvertsen Alfseike, 1700, Syvert Alvsen Alfseike 1668, Alf Olsen Alfsike 1630, this the noblemen as menshion in my Bro. Speech which was given this big farm cald Eike situated 1-1/2 mile from my house and being the farm was cald Eike and his name Alf he desided to call the farm Alfseike, the main house farm is still cald Alfseike, but at present the farm is divide into 21 farms and some of this have different names, Formsend Lyvert, sone of Alf Olsen was given half of or part of the main farm  kald it Lyvertseike in his honor.  Olaf Alfsen Alfseike 1600.  Alf Olafsen Shift_______ 1565, this last menshin is the noblemen menshion abov as Olaf Olsen just a mistak made.  Next Alav Knutsen Haaland 1535, Knut Haaland 1500.

Now back to our present family,  Efter I goth marrid we lived in Central Utah for 5 years, the first child born was a girl born 19 Jan 1913.  We named her Daisy Marie.  She have always been an outstanding person, she was duing iry fine in school, especial in languich reading and spelling she took 2nd place in spelling contest for 2 times strate for the __________________ division including Provo and the north, she also tool the Knutsen honor in ddrumatick reading at the Sno Colage.  She thought school for one year and then got marrid and quit teaching, she marrid _____ Chalk a Monroe boy, she have held menney posostion in the church in Monroe wher they lived for menney years, at present she is President of the Primerry in Lehi Ward Mesa Arizona where she now live her Husband is an Elder in the church and is an sheet metal men by occupastion, they have 4 children the first one Dixey which now is married to Glenn Taylor of Mesa Arizona where they now live he is an Elder in the church and they have 2 children, the first married Debbra Lyn, the next Lucinda marie.  The second of Daisys children are Sterling, not marrid yet.  Next is Marcia, and Fredrick.   

Our 2nd child named Aaron Lowell Born 24 June 1914, he was kild in an truck axsident on Provo bench just east of Orim Jungstion 14 June 1934.  He was well liked in school and was an exselent student student ospecial in Rithmatick and mathematick, he was an exselent scouth, was a member of the nastional gard, he was a very good rifle shot and loked hunting and fishing, he worked for
